Kardia is the Greek word for heart.
Most people recognize its medical meaning as the root of the English words cardiology, cardiac, electrocardiogram, cardiopulmonary, and many others. But, kardia is also found in the New Testament of the Holy Bible, where it refers to the seat of human emotions. The heart is the spot where God personally deals with an individual's life.
